Qualification outcome
Areas of Competence: Knowledge and Understanding; Use, application and generation of knowledge; Communication and cooperation; Scientific self-understanding / professionalism.
The students can represent relevant theoretical foundations of transculturality, diversity and intercultural communication and can understand the relevance of this knowledge for communication processes and for educational and social work.
Through sensitivity trainings, project work and collaboration with centres and institutions for immigrants (located in Kiel) they can develop important skills and competences for communication, cooperation and diversity awareness.

• Identity-building processes of young people in a transnational society
• Migration policies and social justice
 • Transcultural contacts and cross-cultural communication

Für den Erwerb der ECTS muss der Kurs zusammen mit dem anderen Kurs des Moduls besucht werden. Insgesamt können 5 ECTS erworben werden. Der Erwerb von 2,5 ECTS ist nicht möglich.
To acquire the ECTS, the course must be attended together with the other course in the module. A total of 5 ECTS can be acquired. It is not possible to acquire 2.5 ECTS.
The module includes assessment (ungraded) based on an oral short presentation and a project work, which is conducted in groups. Further details of the short presentation and the topics of the group work will be discussed and determined with the students in the course.
